Stephen Cooper Stephen Cooper, Principal, has more than a quarter century of experience across a range of communications disciplines, including corporate marketing, new-product introductions, creative services, presentation development and media training, journalism, and political communications. He has worked with Dave Copithorne for more than 20 years, including almost ten years at Copithorne & Bellows Public Relations as a senior consultant and director of creative services. Stephen assisted the founding partners of Copithorne & Bellows during the earliest days of the agency and played a role in strategic communications initiatives that helped define C&B’s reputation for excellence, creativity, quality and results. As a C&B consultant working with multiple business units of Hewlett-Packard Company, Cooper helped create and execute campaigns that launched HP into the palmtop and laptop computing, color printer, and home computing markets. He also consulted for clients such as Iomega, Cisco Systems, and Xerox. In 1998 he established Bear River Creative, specializing in strategic communications for technology, telecommunications, professional services, health care and financial services clients. Cooper's work on annual reports has been cited by both the Mead and Belding award committees. He began his career as a journalist for daily and weekly newspapers after he graduated with distinction from McGill University in Montreal. Cooper later served as campaign press secretary to Massachusetts gubernatorial nominee Francis W. Hatch Jr. and as Editor-in-Chief of AdEast, a highly regarded monthly advertising and marketing magazine based in Boston. |
